To be admitted to Full Circle's Primary program, children must:
Be at least two-and-a-half years old
Be developmentally ready, as determined by Full Circle staff during the child interview
Be on their way to using the restroom independently.
To be admitted to Full Circle's Elementary program, children must:
Have completed Primary Level OR
Have an extensive interview with Full Circle staff to determine readiness.
It is equally important that:
Parent(s) themselves are ready for their child to begin school. (We know this can be a challenge, but trust in your child.)
Parent(s) are committed to Full Circle's mission of following the child and doing what is in the best interest of the child, not what is easier or for the comfort of the parents or Full Circle staff.
The family’s educational and child-rearing philosophies and general outlook on life be compatible with those of Full Circle.
Parents are committed to the Montessori method and the corresponding full three- to four-year cycles in both Primary and Elementary levels.
Enrollment applications are accepted throughout the year. Once received, you are placed in the prospective student pool. Families are notified no later than the end of March of their admission status for the following Fall. Siblings of enrolled students have priority. Special consideration may be given to children of staff and to students transferring from other Montessori schools.
If an opening for your child is available and we think your family is a good match for Full Circle (immediately or in the future), you will be contacted to schedule three get-togethers:
A parent/guardian/family, as applicable, and Director/Administrator interview to gauge the child/family/school match (Are we on the same page? Does Full Circle offer what you are looking for? )
A child/Directress interview to determine your child's developmental readiness (Is the child ready to be in a classroom? How will the rest of the class be affected?)
A parent-only classroom observation (Ok, now I really get it -- I SEE the children at work and the things I've read about are happening here.)
After the meetings you will be notified of acceptance. If accepted you have one of three choices:
Enroll effective the date of the opening.
Begin paying tuition for the spot on the day of the opening and defer enrollment, if this option is offered (varies from year to year).
Decline the offer.
If Full Circle’s enrollment offer is accepted, you will receive the enrollment agreement via email, which should be returned within five calendar days, along with the applicable fees and deposits. Full Circle's receipt of the signed enrollment agreement, fees, and deposits will guarantee your child's spot. The deposit will be returned to you the summer after your child’s final year at the school, once all tuition obligations are met.
